If you are using GeneHunter with a Far Eastern version of Excel (for example the Japanese, Korean, or Chinese versions which do not use standard Excel English menu names) you will need to complete an additional procedure to correctly install GeneHunter.

Copy genehunt.xla from the \FarEast directory on the GeneHunter CD-rom into the directory on your hard drive where you installed GeneHunter, for example, c:\genehunter. (You will need to copy genehunter.xla from the CD-rom over top of the version in the GeneHunter directory.) This procedure will install a corrected version of the program that can run using Far Eastern versions of Excel.

 

NOTE:  The use of a Far Eastern version of genehunter.xla became unnecessary in Release 4 of GeneHunter.
